616,000 Parlays, One Crystal Ball

The World Cup by the numbers — 616,000+ parlays composed, 85,000+ props enriched, and the one engagement number we keep coming back to.

From the desk of co-founders Matt Bresler & Elaine Milardo

The World Cup was the biggest betting event ever staged.

Press estimates put worldwide handle near $50 billion, and prediction markets cleared several billion on the tournament — a record for the category.

We watched all 104 matches through our content engine, and it left behind some numbers worth sharing.

In case you are new here: the books set the price. We supply the why. Our engine builds the trends, narratives, and themed parlays that give a bet a reason to exist on a screen, and our consumer app Betflow is the lab where we watch real bettors use them.

The tournament by the numbers

616,000+World Cup parlays composed — each one named, themed, and explained
85,000+Props enriched with trend history and a narrative hook, across 635 players
168,000+Attributes in the sports knowledge graph behind it all

Nobody wrote any of it. All of it comes from a single system: a sports knowledge graph covering players, teams, and matches. That's how every parlay arrives, named and explained.

The World Cup catalog alone included “Old Friends, New Enemies” (players facing former teammates) and “Deep Blue” (bets on teams that wear blue). The second one sounded like a joke. It performed fine.

The number we keep coming back to

When Betflow users engaged the discovery features, they were twice as likely to end their session with a bet in the cart.

Same app, same odds, double the intent. Proof that interesting content drives betting — and it drives it straight to parlays, where the margin is.

What we have been up to

Optimove: We signed a partnership with Optimove, the CRM marketing platform used by operators across the industry. Odditt content is now available within the tools operators already use to communicate with their players. More on this soon.

Amelco: Amelco's quant team is working with Odditt's historical odds data to test their model. Clean, labeled price and outcome history is one of the harder datasets to assemble in this industry.

SBC First Pitch: Matt pitched Odditt as a finalist at SBC Summit Americas in Fort Lauderdale in June.

Nobody Scrolls A Spreadsheet For Fun

Odditt named a finalist in the First Pitch competition at SBC Summit Americas — three minutes on stage in Fort Lauderdale.

From co-founders Matt Bresler & Elaine Milardo

When we applied for SBC's First Pitch competition, we kept it simple. We wrote down what we actually believe: sportsbooks spend billions acquiring users, only to lose them to boredom. The fix is better content, not more odds.

Last week, SBC told us our case made the cut. Odditt has been named a finalist in the First Pitch competition at SBC Summit Americas 2026.

On June 11, we'll have three minutes on stage in Fort Lauderdale to make our argument in front of a room full of operators, suppliers, and investors.

Most sportsbooks look like a spreadsheet, and nobody scrolls a spreadsheet for fun. The operators who keep users are the ones who fix that problem.

About First Pitch

First Pitch is SBC's startup competition and one of the most visible stages in the betting industry for an early-stage company. Each finalist presents to a panel of industry and investment judges.

SBC Summit Americas runs June 9–11 at the Broward County Convention Center and is expected to draw over 10,000 industry professionals.

Going to be in Fort Lauderdale?

  • Watch the pitch: First Pitch Leaders Stage, Thursday June 11 at 2:20 p.m. ET. Three minutes to make the case, then three minutes of Q&A.
  • Stop by the booth: Exhibiting June 10–11 at Booth #SU04. Come by for a live demo and a real conversation about engagement, retention, and where sportsbook UX goes next.

Odditt Insider: Making Sportsbooks Scrollable

The launch issue — introducing the Parlay Engine, Discovery Widgets, and the Bet Context API.

From co-founders Matt Bresler & Elaine Milardo

Three months ago, we asked ourselves a difficult question:

Why do sportsbooks spend billions acquiring users, only to lose them to boredom?

The answer led us to build something completely new. Today, we are excited to share it with you.

What we built

Odditt's Engagement Infrastructure for Sportsbooks is a complete B2B platform that transforms static odds feeds into scrollable, story-driven betting experiences. Three new products:

  • [Parlay Engine](https://www.odditt.com/parlay-engine) — Generates 100,000+ narrative-driven, fun parlays daily. Things like the “Taylor Swift” parlay (Jonathan Taylor + D'Andre Swift), or “Heavy Hitters” (players who weigh over 250 lbs).
  • [Discovery Widgets](https://www.odditt.com/products#discovery) — Drop-in components for parlay hubs and trending bets. Deploy in days. White-label ready.
  • [Bet Context API](https://www.odditt.com/products#bet-context) — Wraps every market in decision-ready data: player trends, historical matchups, situational factors. The stuff that makes a bet feel informed, not random.

Early data

We tested with 6,500 users over three months. The results:

1.5MBets explored
80%Parlay bet mix — 2.5× the industry standard of ~30%
100,000+Parlays generated daily vs. the 10–25 operators create manually

The engagement gap is all about reducing friction. By giving people something fresh and exciting to scroll through, we're able to create a cohesive, social-media-like experience.

What's next

We're currently in active conversations with platforms, sportsbooks, and prediction market operators across North America and international markets.
